Seniors Get Free Rides On The Philly PHLASH Downtown Bus

If you’re a senior citizen living in Philadelphia, you can get free rides on the Philly PHLASH Downtown Bus! The Philly PHLASH Bus has 20 stops located along popular Philadelphia attractions and landmarks.

It arrives every 15 minutes at each stop, and you can get onboard at whichever stop you want to. It goes every day from 10 AM to 6 PM.

Philly PHLASH Downtown Bus Stops 1-4

The first stop is the Delaware River Waterfront where you can play mini golf or have a meal at Chickie’s and Pete’s Waterfront Crabshack. You’ll also find the Independence Seaport Museum here at this stop.

The second stop is at the Old City on 3rd and Market street. You’ll find the Betsy Ross House, Christ Church, and Benjamin Franklin Museum.

The third stop on the route is the Independence Visitor Center. Here you can get a free map of the city and visit the Independence National Historical Park and see the Independence Hall and Liberty Bell. At this stop, you can also stop by the National Constitution Center.

The fourth stop you’ll end up at the 125-year-old Reading Terminal Market. This market has over 80 vendors with a wide range of eateries and every type of cuisine you can imagine.



Philly PHLASH Downtown Bus Stops 5-12

Stop 5 on the Philly PHLASH Bus is City Hall and Love Park. Stops 6 you’ll end up at the Benjamin Franklin Parkway Museum and the Academy of Natural Science which is popular among families. Stop 7 will take you to the Barnes Foundation and stop 8 will take you to the Rodin Museum.

Stop 9 will take you to the Eastern State Penitentiary and you can see what this former prison was like. It was the most famous and expensive prison in the world at one time.

Stop 11 on the Philly PHLASH Look will take you to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. You can also transfer here to go to the Fairmount Park. A fantastic museum for kids 7 and under is the Please Touch Museum! Your grandchildren will love this museum!

Stop 12 is the Rocky Steps. Here you can run to the top of the Philadelphia Museum of Arts steps just like Rocky Balboa did in the popular Rocky movies. There is also a statue of Rocky here you can take a photo next to.



Philly PHLASH Downtown Bus Stops 13-18

Stop 13 is the Franklin Institute, stop 14 is the Mutter Museum and stop 15 is the One Liberty Observation Deck.

Stop 16 is 12th and Market Street, Stop 17 is National Museum of American Jewish History where you can learn about the 360-year history of Jewish life in the US.

Stop 18 is the Museum of the American Revolution. Here you’ll find impressive artwork, weaponry from the 18th century and some fascinating exhibits.
